Switching Performance

The UniFi Switch offers the forwarding capacity to simultaneously process traffic on all ports at line rate without any packet loss.

For its total, non-blocking throughput, each UniFi Switch supports up to 8 Gbps with a switching capacity of 16 Gbps.

PoE

The US-8 can be powered by 802.3af/at, 48V passive PoE, or the included power adapter. When the US-8 is powered by 802.3at PoE or the included power supply, port 8 supports 48V (2-pair) PoE passthrough to deliver up to 12W of power.

The US-8-60W is powered by its included power adapter. It has four auto-sensing PoE ports delivering up to 15.4W of power per port.

The US-8-60W is an 8-port gigabit switch with four 802.3af PoE ports. Its auto-sensing PoE ports deliver up to 15.4W of power per port. The US-8 is a PoE Powered 8-port gigabit switch with PoE Passthrough. Perfect for cleanly adding Ethernet ports where needed, with passthrough to keep your PoE device powered.

Switching Capacity

Seamless Integration

UniFi Controller

Designed for convenient management, the UniFi Controller software allows admins to configure and monitor the UniFi Switch and other UniFi devices using a graphical user interface. You can download it from www.ubnt.com at no extra charge – there is no separate software, licensing, or support fee.

Multi-Site Management

TOUGHCable Connectors

Specifically designed for use with Ubiquiti TOUGHCable, TOUGHCable Connectors protect against ESD attacks and Ethernet hardware damage, while allowing rapid field deployment without soldering. The standard TOUGHCable Connectors are available in a box of 100, while the TC-GND versions include ground wires and are available in a box of 20.

ESD attacks are the leading cause for device failures. The diagram below illustrates the areas vulnerable to ESD attacks in a network. By using a grounded Ubiquiti Power over Ethernet (PoE) Adapter along with Ubiquiti TOUGHCable and TOUGHCable Connectors, you can effectively protect against ESD attacks.
